Do I need prior trekking experience? +
Most of our trips are designed for beginners to intermediate travellers. We specify the difficulty level on each package. Our trip captains ensure everyone moves at a comfortable pace, and we always have first aid and medical backup on high-altitude trips.
Can I book as a solo traveller? +
Absolutely! Solo travel is our specialty. You'll be placed with a small, like-minded group. Many of our best friendships have started on ModernMantra trips. We offer single-person bookings on all group trips.
What's included in the price? +
Each package includes accommodation, breakfast & dinner, all sightseeing transport, trip captain, inner line permits where needed, and medical backup on Himalayan trips. Lunch, personal expenses, entry fees, and activities are generally extra — check the specific package for details.
Can you plan a custom trip for my group? +
Yes! We love custom trips. Whether it's a corporate offsite, a family reunion, a college group, or a couple's holiday — just tell us your dates, destination preference, and group size. We'll put together a tailored itinerary and quote.
When is the best time to visit the Himalayas? +
Manali and Kasol are great year-round. Spiti Valley and Zanskar are best from June to September. Ladakh is open May to October. Rajasthan is ideal October to March. We run winter Manali trips for snow experiences from December to February. WhatsApp us for the best time for your specific destination.
Is this the same Modern Mantra base camp in Manali? +
Yes! Our base camp in the hills above Manali is one of our most iconic experiences. It's a colourful, prayer-flag-draped wooden house with hammocks, a dreamcatcher, mountain murals, and views that'll stay with you forever. Guests can stay at the base or join it as part of longer trips.
